Thank you for shopping with Cortez Skate Shop. We appreciate your support and want to make sure every customer has a clear understanding of our return and refund policies.
Returns
We accept returns on eligible items within 14 days of delivery or in-store purchase.
To qualify for a return, items must:
- Be unused and unworn
- Be in original condition
- Include original packaging, tags, and accessories
- Be accompanied by proof of purchase
Items returned without approval may be refused.
Non-Returnable / Non-Refundable Items
For safety, hygiene, and product integrity reasons, the following items are final sale and cannot be returned or refunded:
- Opened or used products
- Skateboards that have been ridden or assembled
- Griptape that has been applied
- Shoes showing signs of wear
- Bearings that have been installed
- Apparel that has been worn or washed
- Sale or clearance items
- Gift cards
- Custom or special-order items
Cortez Skate Shop reserves the right to deny returns that do not meet eligibility requirements.
Damaged or Incorrect Orders
If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 5 days of delivery.
Please include:
- Your order number
- Photos of the item and packaging
- A description of the issue
We will work quickly to resolve the problem with a replacement, store credit, or refund when applicable.
Refunds
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
Please allow:
- 3–7 business days for processing after approval
- Additional time depending on your bank or payment provider
Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the error was caused by Cortez Skate Shop.
Exchanges
We may offer exchanges for:
- Incorrect sizing
- Defective products
- Damaged merchandise
Exchange requests are subject to product availability.
Order Cancellations
Orders may only be canceled before they are processed or shipped.
Once an order has shipped, it cannot be canceled and must follow the standard return process if eligible.
Shipping Responsibility
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless:
- The wrong item was sent
- The product arrived damaged or defective
We recommend using a tracked shipping method for returns. Cortez Skate Shop is not responsible for lost return packages.
Fraud Prevention
To protect our business and customers:
- Returns may be refused if abuse of the policy is suspected
- Excessive return activity may result in restricted purchasing privileges
- Returned items are inspected before refunds are approved
